Vancouver-Clark
Parks, Recreation and Open Space
Plan Environmental Checklist Available
for Public Comment

A State
Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) checklist for the county portions of
the draft Vancouver-Clark Comprehensive Parks, Recreation and Open
Space Plan is complete. Vancouver-Clark Parks and Recreation has
determined that the plan will not have an adverse impact on the
environment (a Determination of Nonsignificance).
The SEPA checklist
used to make this determination is now available for public
comment. The checklist is available at local public libraries, on
the internet at
www.vanclarkparks-rec.org,
and at the Vancouver-Clark Parks and Recreation administrative
office at 610 Esther Street in downtown Vancouver. Comments on the
checklist will be accepted until March 30, 2007.
The
Vancouver-Clark Comprehensive Parks, Recreation and Open Space Plan
will guide Vancouver-Clark Parks and Recreation’s efforts to acquire
and develop parks, trails, open space and special recreational
facilities throughout Clark County and the Vancouver urban area over
the next six years.
