Humane Society for Southwest Washington Hosts Low Cost Microchip Clinic to Ensure Pets are Identified Immediately
Reconnecting pets to their families is a large part of what we do at the Humane Society for Southwest Washington. We receive thousands of animals each year without proper identification and therefore struggle to reunite these pets with their families. We urge all pet owners to microchip their pets so that if your pet is lost, we can identify them immediately. Microchips are painlessly implanted under the animal’s skin, and can be read by a scanner that reveals the pet’s identification number. A phone call can then trace the owners of the pet. The microchip will typically last 25 years and is guaranteed for the life of the pet. Help your pet come home immediately!
