Everyday you wake up and where is the first place you go?
 The bathroom of course!

Everyday you wake up and where is the first place you go? The bathroom of course! You have to look at your bathroom a couple times a day, so why not be eager to see? Well, there is no reason why you shouldn’t be eager to clean up in a dazzling environment.

When you look at your bathroom, what do you see, room for future growth to fit your ever-changing life? A new fixture here and there or an upgrade because nothing seems to work right anymore? Or the bathroom just needs a make over?

If this is what you see when you look at your bathroom, there could only be two answers, you don’t have your contacts in yet or your bathroom needs to be remodeled.

Kashas Design-remodeling Inc. is just the place to achieve an appealing bathroom. Just like the process of remodeling a kitchen, bathrooms are very much accomplished the same way.

Bathrooms unlike kitchens are more limited due to space and where tubs, showers and sinks are already placed before you start to remodel. Jetted tubs are mostly placed in the corner of the bathroom taking up as much as 50 to 60 square feet. What a waste of space if you don’t take baths. Most people I know take showers on a regular basis to get ready for work, not baths.

If you like your bathtub for a good relaxing time after a hard days work, then why not make your tub the tub of all tubs? Try to say that three times fast. A popular trend that has surfaced is a whirlpool tub. Whirlpool tubs allows us to reach into our inner child, bring out the plastic battle ships and relax leaving our cares at the port.

Showers are reaching new heights with dual showerheads and body sprays that spray your body from the side as to get all of our curves squeaky clean. Over 15 percent of remodeling jobs included dual showerheads, while 28 percent installed shower systems, according to the National Kitchen and Bath Association. It is just the worst when you are turning that old showerhead and it falls on your head! Knocks you hard and then a jetted pressure of hot water is asserted on to your body leaving you temporarily disoriented and annoyed. That is a sure sign of needed shower equipment.

When a bathroom’s remodeling is in your hands, you need to think, speculate and estimate what you are looking for. Something neat about bathrooms is they can have themes. Children enjoy their bathrooms when they can really dive into their bathtubs and feel they are on the beach. Or some people like to step into the shower, step out and smile because their bathroom is classically styled to their idea of bathroom perfection.

When choosing to remodel, why not have a couple of themes in mind rather than just colors for the walls. For example, do you want tiling in your theme or granite floors? Tiling can take a long time to complete and does take a good effort to maintain. With the type of materials used in the bathroom, if you don’t like to get on your knees and scrub, tile and the grout in between might not be the best choice for you. All materials have their cost of labor, so be wise in what choices you make when remodeling a bathroom. Also, colors and fixtures are important in the planning process.

After the ideas have been made apparent and you a contract has been agreed upon, you should make sure you have no mold problems. If you are suspicious, then there needs to be a check. Not all contactors are mold experts, so finding someone who knows what to do would be key. In a bathroom setting that is old or poorly fanned, there could be risks of mold lingering, seeping into your bathroom and you may not even know it. Check for mold by getting a hold of some certified Mold inspectors, your contractor may know where to get a hold of some local inspectors. They will let you know whether or not you can proceed with the remodeling or wait on mold removal.

The room being too damp can cause mold. The cure for this uninvited organic material is a better exhaust fan. Brian Kashas, CEO of Kashas Design-Remodeling Inc., suggests you should have one put in or replaced if needed. His team will do it as part of the remodeling. These days, it is in the International Building Code to have one. Fans that are newly put in or replaced are quieter than the older ones, so there is a plus. No one wants to have their bathroom torn up and then has to put a couple week projects into several months project. So get these things looked at before the team starts.

Like remodeling a kitchen, make sure your team is careful and does not leave ‘things’ lying around. Do not rummage through their toolboxes or what they are in the process of doing. Be smart and let them take care of their end of the bargain as contractors.

Once the bathroom is complete, over look at the space to make sure everything is complete. Thank the contractor for their amazing job and use the bathroom.

When having your bathroom tiled, know it will take a while to be complete. With the type of materials used in the bathroom, if you don’t like to get on your knees and scrub, tile and the grout in between might not be your cup of tea. All materials have their cost of labor, so be wise in what choices you make when remodeling a bathroom.
