DOWNTOWN VANCOUVER

Check out our favorite downtown restaurants!

Downtown Vancouver

At the heart of the downtown area is the crowning jewel to the area’s revitalization efforts, Esther Short Park, where summer outdoor concerts, festivals, and a year round Farmers’ Market make it a hot spot for visitors and residents alike.

As the oldest city in the state, Vancouver also enjoys a rich history, centered around the first settlement to the area, Fort Vancouver.  This history provides visitors many unique attractions such as Fort Vancouver National Historic Site, Officers Row, and Pearson Air Museum to name a few.

With so much here, there is something fun for everyone!

Shopping:

There’s plenty of shopping to do in downtown and throughout Vancouver. Try Main Street, Uptown Village, Heritage Place, or Farmers’ Market at Esther Short Park. Take a stroll along the Columbia River, and check out the shops near Beaches and McMenamins restaurants.

Dining:

Downtown Vancouver offers incredible dining experiences along the waterfront overlooking the Columbia River, as well as in the fabulous historic district. Visitors will find an abundance of fine establishments. Gray’s at the Park inside the Hilton Hotel and Little Italy’s Trattoria are two wonderful establishments.

Activities:

ESTHER SHORT PARK -  It’s the heart of downtown Vancouver. Close to great shops at Heritage Place, the elegant Vancouvercenter, the new Vancouver Convention Center, and quality restaurants. Esther Short Park is also the site for many outdoor music events and summer festivals.

HISTORIC DISTRICT - Tour historic locations, such as Fort Vancouver National Historic Site, which was the Hudson Bay Company’s 1825 trading post; Officer’s Row, the Pearson Air Museum, and lots more!

THEATERS - Experience the vintage Kiggins Theater, the new Regal Cinemas, or see a performance at the Columbia Arts Center, Main Street Theatre or The Slocum House Theater.

ARTWALK - Every second Saturday is a treat as dozens of artisans and local stores open late to exhibit quality artwork throughout downtown.
