Clean Comedians Creates New Pacific Northwest
Division
Clean Comedians, founded in 1990 as an agency that specializes in bringing clean entertainment to business events and private functions, has opened a new Pacific Northwest division with an office in Seattle, company president Corey Ford announced today.
It is the Los Angeles-based company’s first office outside Southern California, signaling a move by Clean Comedians to position itself for more rapid growth in demographically significant areas of the U.S. The company has recruited Frank King as its director of sales for the Northwest division. King is also a nationally known comedian and entertainer who is a noted impersonator of Presidential candidate John Edwards.
“We are delighted to be expanding our company into the Northwest,” said Ford, who was born and raised in Oregon and lived in Seattle for 15 years. “Opening this new office will allow us to better serve our clients in the area and to more effectively represent our current entertainers in the Northwest as well as attract additional talent in the area. We look forward to providing our signature brand of hilarious, professional comedy and other entertainment for the region’s meetings, conferences, banquets and special events.”
Clean Comedians, which represents more than 100 performers throughout the United States, is the nationally recognized resource for booking funny, positive, wholesome comedians, comic magicians, corporate entertainers, humorous motivational speakers, improv groups and variety acts.
“When you contact Clean Comedians, you can count on great entertainment without having to worry about embarrassing or offending your group,” says Ford. “Our performers get big laughs without resorting to gender bashing, racist material, obscenity, sexual innuendo, or swearing of any kind. With some of the recent notorious faux-pas by well-known Hollywood personalities, we know that corporate event planners, in particular, are concerned about hiring speakers, emcees and comics who won’t reflect badly on the company or alienate employees and clients. With our talent roster of clean entertainers, you never have to worry.”
Ford says that demand for his clean entertainers from the corporate events community has risen 25% per year for the past four years. “With all the trouble in the world today, many corporations are turning to comedy to relieve employee stress, enhance team-building efforts, and to help introduce new company themes, campaigns and messages,” he says. “Our performers are especially effective in business environments because they can customize their acts to focus on specific company themes and topics of relevance to the particular audience.”
The company was founded in 1990 and became a unit of Ford Entertainment, Inc. in 2005. Clean Comedians operates under the mantra “you don’t have to be filthy to be funny,” said Ford. “And our guarantee remains the same as it has always been: if it isn’t funny, we’ll refund your money!”
