Clark County Board of Health Seeks a Practicing
The Clark County Board of Health is seeking applicants to fill a vacancy on the Clark County Public Health Advisory Council. The vacancy is open to medical doctors practicing in Clark County. The Clark County Board of Health established the Public Health Advisory Council in 2003 as an advisory body to foster communication with the community and to improve the health of the citizens of Clark and Skamania counties. The council identifies community health needs based on current data and testimony and sets priorities according to these factors. The council also evaluates the impact of proposed public health policies and programs. Members serve a three year term. The council meets the third Tuesday of every month from 6 to 8 p.m. in the main conference room on the second floor of the Center for Community Health at 1601 East Fourth Plain Boulevard, Vancouver, Washington. To be considered, applicants should submit a resume and / or a letter of interest describing why you are interested in serving, what unique perspectives you will bring to the council, and any experiences or activities you have had that will lend diversity to the council. Send letter of interest to: Jennifer Clark, Clark County Board of Commissioners, P.O. Box 5000, Vancouver, Washington 98666-5000 or e-mail – jennifer.clark@clark.wa.gov no later than February 16, 2007. Specific questions regarding the council may be directed to Julie Grimm at (360)397-8477.
