Staff in Clark County Human Resources will have a busy first quarter this year as they recruit and hire for a number of new positions included in the county’s 2007/2008 budget.
“We have such a variety of jobs that we are recruiting for,” Human Resources Director Francine Reis told Clark-Vancouver Television in a recent interview, “from engineers to road workers, public health nurses to deputy sheriffs, mid-management jobs and financial management.”
The interview with Reis is part of the January Clark County Close Up produced by CVTV and being shown on cable channels 21 and 23. Check for listings on CVTV’s Web site at http://www.cityofvancouver.us/cvtv/cvtvindex.asp. Other stories featured include a South African learning exchange and an overview of county government in 2006.
One tool that is helping Human Resources handle the increased workload is new software that gives people an easy way to apply for county jobs online. The Web site is located at Current Job Openings - County Employment - Human Resoures - Clark County Washington. For those who don’t have computers, there are two terminals in the Human Resources office on the fifth floor of the county’s Public Service Center, 1300 Franklin St., Vancouver.
Clark County is an equal employment opportunity employer. A copy of the county’s equal opportunity plan is available at http://www.clark.wa.gov/hr/documents/ EEOPlan2006Final.pdf. |
